Diwali: Chennai school donates essentials to needy

CHENNAI: Velammal Vidhyashram in Somangalam here marked this year’s Diwali by helping those in need, according to a release from the school.
On Oct 28, the school donated essential items like rice, dhal, jaggery and bedsheets to Gratitude Research Foundation, represented by managing trustee I Julian Arul Harish.
The donation was handed over by the students and school principal Dr Jemi Sudhakar.
