Qualifier Yash Chaurasia shocked second seed Manish Sureshkumar, progressing to the Fenesta Open quarterfinals. Delhi's Yash will face Rethin Pranav. Qualifier Yash Chaurasia continued his winning streak to shock second seed Manish Sureshkumar 0-6, 7-6 (8), 7-6 (4) to move into the quarterfinals of the Fenesta Open Natioanl tennis championships in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Delhi lad Yash will play another contestant from the qualifying phase, lucky loser Rethin Pranav, who eased past Ajay Malik 6-4, 6-1.

Another qualifier who had an impactful performance was Manipur's Bhicky Sagolshem who nearly pulled off the biggest win of his career against top seed and veteran Davis Cupper Vishnu Vardhan.
Bhicky broke Vardhan when the latter served to stay in the second set at 5-6 but the latter brought his experience in the third set to come through 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.
In the women's draw, Pooja Ingale knocked out sixth seed Soha Sadiq of Karnataka 7-5, 7-5 to set up an all-Maharashtra quarterfinal against Akanksha Nitture, who breezed past Madhavi Singh of Bihar 6-2, 6-2.
Sejal Bhutada, however, fell to Humera Baharmus 6-2, 6-4.
Meanwhile, former champion and top seed Vaidehee Chaudhari of Gujarat double bageled Riya Sachdeva while Tamil Naduy's 15-year-old Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi had a smooth sailing against Saumya Ronde 6-3, 6-0.
In the Under-18 section, Maharashtra girls continued their march as five of them booked their last-eight berths.
Sejal ousted top seed Laxmisiri Dandu 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 and will next face state-mate Aakruti Sonkusare 6-1, 7-5.
Third seed Aishwarya Jadhav tamed fellow Maharashtrian Parthsarthi Mundhe 7-5, 6-2 for a faceoff with Tamil Nadu's Diya Ramesh while Danica Fernando accounted for Karnataka's Harshini N 7-5, 6-3. Prisha Shinde overcame Manshi Singh of Delhi 6-3, 7-6 (2).
