The NBA season ended for the Golden State Warriors before Stephen Curry could recover and rejoin the team. They lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-110 in Game 5 of the second-round playoff series, failing to secure another win after their Game 1 victory and subsequently losing the next four games. After the game, Draymond Green was asked whether the team’s age contributed to the loss. Here’s what Green responded.

Draymond Green promises to return for next NBA season

Draymond Green didn’t take the “ageing” question negatively and confirmed that the team plans to return stronger and aim for a playoff win next season. He also showed respect for the Timberwolves, who defeated the Warriors consecutively in Games 2, 3, and 4.Green said during the post-game press conference, “They pointed that out last year and the year before, too. One thing I can assure them is every year we will get older… I don’t worry about that one bit. I feel like I’m still improving. I feel like Steph is still improving. I feel like Jimmy’s still improving.”“I think we’ll be right back at it. It sucks to end this way, but we think we got the pieces to make another run at it and do it again. That’s gonna be our mindset going into this summer… I think come next year, we’ll be right back at it and give ourselves a chance again,” he added.
Green also expressed confidence in the Minnesota Timberwolves' chances of winning a championship. He said, “They got a chance. They got a real shot.”

Praising several players on the rival team, he added, “The way Julius been playing… he’s been lights out. I have no doubt that he’ll continue to play that way. He’s aggressive as hell and he going to go after it. When you got two dynamic… and then they got all the pieces, right? Naz coming off the bench. Jaden McDaniels is a helluva young player. Rudy, four-time defensive player of the year. Mike Conley and his experience. Donte flying around, and defending and shooting.”Also Read: Draymond Green made NBA history during Golden State Warriors' Game 5 against Minnesota Timberwolves, despite facing a massive penaltyGreen scored 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, and one steal during the 36 minutes he was on the court in Game 5.
